Fernie RV Resort Policy
The following policies have been established to ensure the comfort, enjoyment, safety and security of our guests and to facilitate the operation of the resort. These policies also help ensure the efficient and successful operation of the Resort.
DESIGNATED FLOOD ZONE
The Fernie RV Resort is in a designated flood zone and as such may be subject to evacuation on eight hours notice.
Check-in
Check-in time is 3pm. During high-season we cannot accommodate early check-ins.
Check-out
Check-out time is 11am.
Quiet Hours
This is a family campground and most of your fellow campers are trying to sleep in the evening and early mornings so please be considerate and observe quiet time between 11pm and 8am. Generators are not allowed to run at any time.
RV Site Occupancy
Rates are based on two adults per site. A $6 per night fee applies for additional adult guests, and vehicles beyond the stated limit.
Rates for RV Sites are based on one RV, plus one tow car or one trailer/5th wheel and towing vehicle.
Tents are not permitted at full-service RV sites unless approved by Fernie RV Resort. Full service RV sites can request to pitch one tent for children (16 years and under). The tent is to be no larger than five square metres (7ft x 7ft) and an additional fee of $6 per night will be charged.
Tent Site Occupancy
Tent site rates are based on a maximum of two adults and one vehicle per site. Children (16 years and under) are free. If you are more than two adults you will require a second site. Tent sites have a maximum of two tents.
Tent sites cannot accommodate anything towable, including tent trailers or small trailers, you will need to book an RV site.
Termination of Stay
Fernie RV Resort reserves the right to terminate any stay without notice for violation of our Policies. In this case Fernie RV Resort will refund any amount paid for unused days.
Deposit Policy at Time of Reservation
For daily rate reservations, full payment will be charged to your credit card when you make your reservation.
Bookings 1+ months in length require the first month of the reservation to be paid in full as a deposit to confirm the booking.
Cancellation Policy
– Daily Rate Cancellation
We require a minimum of 7 days’ notice prior to your scheduled arrival date for all daily rate cancellations and changes to existing bookings.
Cancellations and changes made 7 days or more prior to the scheduled arrival date will receive a full refund less a $25.00 cancellation fee.
Cancellations and changes made less than 7 days prior to the arrival date are non-refundable.
After occupancy, no refunds will be provided on that daily rate reservation.
– Monthly Rate Cancellation
Cancellations made 14 days or more prior to the scheduled arrival date will receive a full refund less a $50.00 cancellation fee.
Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the arrival date will receive a 50% refund.
Early Departure
No refunds will be provided on any monthly rate reservation once the month has commenced.
To end a multi-month booking earlier than originally booked, notice must be given in writing to the Fernie RV Resort Office at least 14 days prior to the end of the month. Cancellations received after this deadline will be subject to a $100.00 cancellation fee.
– Refunds on Discounted Reservations
There will be NO refunds on discounted reservations. Guests can apply the amount paid, less a $10 change fee, to another reservation in the same calendar year.
– Reservation Date Changes
If you need to change your dates, one complimentary change can be made per booking. For further changes, a $10.00 change fee will apply. Note that this fee does not apply if you are extending your stay.
Changes made less than 7 days prior to arrival that result in a reduction of the number nights on the reservation are subject to our standard cancellation policy.
Pets
Pets are welcome at the FRVR. Two pets are allowed per booking and additional pets will incur a $3 fee per pet, per night. Pets must be on a leash at all times or be contained within the guest’s accommodation, and pets are not to left unattended for long periods. Pets are not permitted inside any FRVR buildings or the playground area. Owners are required to clean up after their pets, dog waste bags are available at admin.
Accommodations
We guarantee the availability of the accommodation type booked, but we do not guarantee any particular site unless locked when booking.
Long-term Stays
Long-term guests, one month or longer, are subject to electrical charges based on consumption as determined by the onsite electrical meter. Rates charged are the same as billed to FRVR.
Wildlife
All wildlife attractants must be stored in a bear proof enclosure or in a secured vehicle anytime sites and accommodations are left unattended or when retiring at night.
Attractants include, but are not limited to: food, garbage, recycling, empty containers, coolers (full or empty), dishes (clean or dirty), stoves, and all scented items (soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, etc).
Any guest found to be in violation of this policy will be charged $100.00 by Fernie RV Resort without warning, and may be evicted without notice and/or refund.
Should the Municipal Bylaw Department or the Conservation Service attend to the property, additional fines from $200.00 to $1000.00 may be assessed. It is also possible that the Bear will have to be destroyed.
Visitors
Visitors and non-registered guests are welcome to park their vehicle on Fernie RV Resort property between 7am and 10pm, but must register all vehicles at reception and park only in designated guest parking areas.
Vehicles
Speed limit is 20kp/h (12mph) on all laneways unless otherwise posted – please watch for cyclists, pedestrians, and children playing. Parking is permitted in designated parking areas only.
Unlicensed vehicles are not permitted to operate on the property of Fernie RV Resort.
Garbage
Guest are required to deposit all garbage into appropriate bear proof garbage containers located in convenient locations throughout the Resort. Burning of garbage is prohibited.
Fires
Campfires are permitted but must be attended at all times, kept low, and strictly contained within the fire rings provided. Campfire Bans may be imposed at any time.
Firewood may be purchased at the Admin centre.
Please note that cutting trees, shrubs or branches and gathering dead wood is strictly prohibited. Please do your part to maintain our natural environment.
Water Pressure Regulators
Water pressure at the Fernie RV Resort is 80psi and could damage your RV. We recommend the use of a water pressure regulator while hooked up to our water system. Water pressure regulators are available for purchase locally. Fernie RV Resort is not responsible for any damage to a guest’s equipment due to water pressure
Alcohol & Smoking
Alcoholic beverages and tobacco smoking may be consumed only within the boundaries of an occupied site, and are not permitted in public areas within the Resort.
Cannabis
The smoking or vaping of cannabis is restricted to within the guest’s accommodation, and are not permitted in public areas within the Resort.
