Fernie offers kilometres of cross country ski trails to explore, from beginner circuits to the more advanced. A number of trails are set around Fernie including those at Fernie Alpine Resort, Fernie Golf & Country Club, Island Lake Lodge and the new Elk Valley Nordic Centre.

Ski or snowboard untouched powder in the Fernie backcountry, led by professional guides, driven up to each run by snowcat and shared only with a small group of like-minded skiers and riders.

Snowmobilers have convenient staging areas and groomed trails only minutes from the RV Resort. Groomed trails lead quickly into the backcountry providing easily accessible big mountain riding for all abilities. The welcoming on-trail facilities of Wranglers Cabin and Rolling Hills Cabin offer a great spot to warmup, meet other sledders and enjoy your packed lunch.

Biking has become a year-round sport in Fernie with the addition of fat biking during the snowy months. Groomed fat biking trails start at the RV Resort and are endless.
