The Fernie RV Resort is literally surrounded by water; the Elk River flanks one side and to the South is Maiden Lake. The Elk River is best for fishing, tubing, canoeing, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding however people also swim.

Maiden Lake is Fernie’s most popular place to swim. With a sandy beach at one end, families gather in the hot summer sun and build sand castles or sit on the pier and catch minnows.
