Fernie RV Resort has expanded its tent camping options with the addition of five new walk-in campsites, offering campers a peaceful forest setting with added shade and privacy.
The new sites, H1 through H5, are now open and complement the resort’s existing eight drive-in tent campsites. Located in a forested area, the walk-in sites provide a more secluded camping experience while remaining close to the resort’s amenities.
Each campsite includes a picnic table, fire ring and a 16-foot by 8-foot tent pad. Parking for one vehicle per site is located within 30 metres at the private entrance to the walk-in camping area.
Occupancy is limited to a maximum of two adults and up to four children aged 16 and under per site.
“Our new walk-in tent sites offer a different style of camping for guests who don’t RV and appreciate a simpler, more natural setting,” said Shelley Barrington, General Manager for Fernie RV Resort. “Surrounded by trees, these sites provide excellent shade and privacy while giving campers access to all the amenities that make Fernie RV Resort a comfortable base for exploring the Elk Valley.”
Guests have access to the resort’s modern washrooms and private hot showers, complimentary Wi-Fi, free townie bikes, playground, pump track, picnic shelter, dog wash and direct connections to Fernie’s trail system.
With the addition of the new walk-in sites, Fernie RV Resort now offers full-service RV sites, Luxury RV Lodges, yurts, eight drive-in tent sites and five walk-in forest campsites.
