Griz Days Winter Festival is Fernie’s biggest, snowiest winter celebration! #GrizDays
The annual Griz Days Festival is traditionally Fernie’s biggest event, encompassing the entire community from Fernie Alpine Resort to the Provincial Park to the Highway and Historic Downtown Fernie. It is a full, wild weekend of activities and live entertainment for all ages.

Logger Shows
These Vancouver Lumberjacks and Jill’s have over 30 years combined experience in delivering an internationally acclaimed lumberjack entertainment show. This production is like no other! A traditional Griz Days event and long-standing fan favourite!
Snow Golf – 6 holes at the Fernie Golf Club!
Come out and experience winter golf! Fun for groups, families or singles. The ‘groomed’ 6 hole layout is close to the clubhouse and will take less than an hour to complete. Assemble a team of four or come as a single or pair. Lots of prizes to win so come down in your fur hats and coats and have fun on the course!
Main Street Bed Races
Back by popular demand is the good, old fashioned bed races! Taking place on 2nd Ave, get your team of five together and see if you have what it takes to be the fastest bed racers.
Griz Days Parade
The heart of Griz Days! The Griz Days Parade will light up the night as it winds through downtown!
Live Music and Fireworks
Station Square is the centre for events, endless live music and fireworks are in the schedule.
Raging Elk Dummy Downhill
A highlight of Griz Days festival, this competition features imaginative & hilarious “dummies” on skis launching themselves off a gigantic jump. Dummies are judged based on their construction, creativity, distance they fly off of the jump and the carnage factor when they land!
